mercy ophelia

the secret life of ophelia - hamlet

damnnnn i should really start reading shakespeare soon :D

i was like.... wait.... hamlet.... isnt he like, supposed to die in the end or sumthng.... like killed macduff because of his wife... and then i thought

"oh NO you idiot! that's macbeth!!"

:P

yesshums, i went to the play. it was all very exciting for me cuz i've never been to any plays before, unlike some people with me, who i'm sure is not klpac virgin. :]

settings, lights, musics were brilliant, it worked well with the script. i mean, the play, as a whole, was a pretty decent play. What was brilliant though, was the definitely the script. it was MAGNIFICENT. the play of words, the positions and metaphors used was so beautiful. it was soooo meaningful.

i could only wish that the actors could have pulled it of better. I didnt feel that there was a connection between them, even through their words. There was not enough emotion behind the words, which however brilliant it was, weakened as the actors said it. :[ awww, sad aint it.

BUT really, the words used were really beautiful. i think i was the only one who cried whilst i was listening intently to the words ophelia said to express her love for hamlet. i'm like looking around and everybody was still like 'OMFG did you see hamlet molesting himselfWTFFF!@#!@#"

i mean honestly. gawd.

yes, he molested himself. i really didnt think it was necessary, but it was a modern take on it, so yes, modern men do masturbate in the open i think, shakespeare ere? errrr, not so much. i just avoided looking at him while the whole perverted scene was going on and focused on the girl.

mean while, i'm waiting for another actor to pop up soon :D i mean, lets face it, hamlet was no eye candy :P lol hehehehe

it was a good experience, i have to admit. i'll end the post here, gotta go learn the difference between

macbeth / hamlet

much ado about nothing / midsummer's night dream

will shakespeare / hot actor who plays shakespeare in 'shakespeare in love' <3

:D
